Florals and Denim

Yup that store had some good things. Anyways more pampering today. Haha Inma got a haircut and she paid for me to have my hair blown out. Very nice.

On a sadder note, today was my last day in Miranda. It's going to be very sad when I leave. No more Luc, no more Inma and Kevin. I have enjoyed my time here and hopefully will come back to visit very very soon. Tomorrow we drive to Madrid and I will then meet up with Jose and Reme. Oh I'm going to miss Miranda. But Madrid here I come!

Today we went to Vitoria and shopped around with Inma's niece. It was very fun. I got four Spanish fashion magazines and it's been a lot of fun flipping through them. With it I got sandals and a shirt. It was quite funny. By the way, my Spanish has greatly improved. I can understand a lot now. Woo! Spain here I come! Well I guess that doesn't make sense since I'm already here. Haha.

Purse: Blanco (Bilbao)

Tonight we went to an Italian restaurant. Boy, do I love reasons to dress up! And I finally got to wear my shoes! We also got a pedicure so my toes looked lovely. The pale blue color is very nice. The pedicure was apparently not the best. (I wouldn't really know I haven't gotten many.) I enjoyed being pampered though.

We also went shopping where I got some really good stuff. I plan on wearing the outfit tomorrow. So you will see then. We later went to Ocio for a while later which was very nice. But man, Luc was tiiired. He fell asleep in the car (around 9:00) and so that was his bedtime, no dinner or anything. If that seems late for a little guy like that, you have to remember this is Spain, the earliest he usually goes to bed is 10:00.
Look at that little texter!

Flowery Pups

shirt: vintage Ralph Lauren from thrift store in San Diego
dress: Juicy Couture
shoes: store in LA

Today we visited Bilbao. We walked around, we ate, we went to the Guggenheim (but not inside we went there two years ago.)

We walked some more, we talked. And then we shopped! I got a skirt from H&M and a cute cream purse from a store called Blanco. I will post pictures tomorrow. It's just too dark for pictures tonight (Sorry La!).

We walked around Miranda with Luc after we got back from Bilbao. We saw the cutest, funniest thing. Tons of old people dancing in a square. It was so adorable. I don't know if I can paint hte best picture with my words or even the picture below. But truly it was so cute.

City of Stone

disclaimer: there will be lots of photos in this post.

Photobucket
This is Miranda.
Today we started off a little late. Luc started wailing last night (I slept through it mostly) and kept Inma up when he went to her bed. He was kicking like crazy (sound familiar?). So we had a very late start on the hike. We planned on hiking to San Juan del Monte where we would see a cave. However when we started off, we weren't quite sure where we were going. We did make it to a statue of San Juan (pictures below). Then we took the car to see where we were supposed to go. We were headed in the right direction. But we had a while to go just to get to where you actually started the climb. Then you had a kilometer to go. Another day!

After lunch we headed over to Sajazarra, a small, small pueblo just outside Miranda. My gosh it was breathtaking! It was all stone and beautifully old. If I ever had to live in a small town, that would be it. It was so... romantic. It had a church built in the 1100s and a castle probably built about the same time. I loved it. And took many pictures. Hopefully the beauty I saw transferred to the photos.

By the way, I kept my hiking clothes on the whole day, so... don't judge me about what I'm wearing. Kay? Kay.

We later went to Ocio to swim. Such a warm day here! Luc was adorable in his little pool. I played "tennis" with Mikal, Inma's...cousin's son. We played in the drive way and I had a misshapen racquet. I won 6-2 and he wants a rematch tomorrow.

More pictures!

Miranda

[dress from thrift store in LA, shirt from Urban Outfitters, necklace from thrift store in LA, shoes from Aldo]

Another find from the dollar bin! Yes the dress was only a dollar. What a find! I'm not a big fan of such stark white but I was able to make it something I could wear. I've noticed that I use a few pieces in a lot of my outfits (e.g. the maroon button down). I wonder if this is a good thing or bad thing.

Today we ran errands around Miranda. We picked up groceries, looked for shoes, and got me some protective cases for my devices. Then we took Luc over to Ocio where Inma's father has a house. Luc had a blast there. Throwing rocks in the river, wheeling around his little truck, and running around. We went to see Inma's father's garden. And wow! What a garden! I was wishing I had brought my camera so I could take some photos. Maybe another time. We were able to eat some strawberries he had grown. So sweet! All in all, it was a nice relaxing day.

I will end this with a cute picture of Luc.
