Lately

Hello to my few readers. Sorry for my absence. Truth is that I've had a boring couple of weeks. Some highlights of the past couple of weeks:

And..........
  • I got a haircut today. (As seen above.)
Pretty sad that there are only 3 highlights. But I've had a pretty calm few weeks. Relaxing and such. School isn't too bad. I have had some good outfits lately (not too many though!), but I just need to find a good, easy set up for my camera. I'm searching for a good spot for pictures, but I just can't find a place with good light and pleasant background. I will continue to look.

I hope you all have a pleasant weekend. I have a pretty exciting one coming up myself.

P.S. I tried lookbook, but I'm not so sure. I'm failing pretty miserably. Possibly you could hype so I don't feel quite so bad?

Salt & Pepper

Harley & Ace

Sorry for the lack of posting. I figured quality over quantity. This past week has been quite boring. Just a bunch of sitting around lazily. My specialty.

My sister and her boyfriend came in town this weekend and brought their dog Harley with them. It's been fun to see the two little pups running around. Hope you enjoy the pictures and I hope to have more interesting storing and pictures to post soon.

And just for fun...

Shirt: Billabong
Sweater: H&M
Jeans: Borrowed
Shoes: Converse

The week has been long and boring. Truly nothing worth talking about. Tonight, I went out to dinner with my parents who just got home from Miami. Naturally, I dressed up. I hope you can see the outfit. I was inspired by the bottom left hand corner of the image below.

I can feel a cold coming on, so there is a good chance my normal weekend posts will not happen. When the school gets sick, there is no avoiding it. And the school is definitely sick.

I hope everyone has a better week than I am predicting I will have. :)

Relaxation with class

Shirt & Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Sweater & Bag: Topshop
Shoes: Aldo

Sorry for the lack of posting. I've had a stressful week of midterms and projects. Today, I spent most of the morning getting ready. That was fun in itself, even if I didn't go many places today. Hey, relaxing is a favorite of mine. The shoes, purse. and sweater are revealed from this post. The leggings were a late Christmas present, along with other Babooshka items. I love them!

New York, New York

These only describe a few moments of my wonderful time in New York. It was too cold, too rushed and I felt a bit too touristy/geeky to take as many pictures as I would have liked. We spent the first white out night thanking New York for allowing us to land and land safely by eating a fabulous dinner at the hotel's restaurant. (Mmmm... fontina cheese ravioli with white truffle sauce. My favorite meal of the trip!) We stayed in SoHo, which I enjoyed immensely. The next day, the snow was piled high and we were two of the few who dared to venture out into the snow filled city. Our day was spent in shops which were, at first, very empty, which was great for us! We hit all of my favorites: H&M, Zara, and Topshop. And also others for the mother. That night we went to see the play Avenue Q. Very funny, a bit awkward to see with a parent. Tuesday was spent at the museum and walking around the crowded Midtown. I prefer SoHo. All the nice shops, but also some small boutiques and cafes, more quirky, less crowded. That night we went to the most amazing show, Fuerza Bruta. It was more of an experience. I could describe it to you but it would be a whole post in itself. I will leave you with a few images: a floating pool suspended above, girls chasing each other while suspended as the music pounds away, a (quite handsome) man on a treadmill running through walls. I really recommend it to everyone who can get the chance to see it. It's quite amazing. Wednesday was a bit quieter. A little bit of shopping, a little exploring, a little relaxing. We saw part the NYU campus. Really beautiful. Safe to say that I can picture myself living in New York at some point in my life and I hope to do so.

And now... my New Year's Resolutions per someone's request:

[1] Less uptight, more spontaneous.
[2] A little less laziness, a little more motivation.
[3] Superb grades so I have all the options for college which is two short years away.
[4] Take more pictures!
[5] Enjoy life, go with the flow. (Goes with number 1)
[6] Stay away from chocolate and candy. (I'm pretty healthy, but I have a terrible sweet tooth.)

Hope everyone is enjoying their first days of 2011.

an exclusive glance

Here's a peek at the new items I bought in New York. You will (hopefully) see them in all their glamour on the blog soon. But for now this is all you get. ;)

Also, I will have pictures from my New York trip up in the next couple of days. Hope you all have a good New Year. 2011! Woo!
