So I've been listening to 50s on 5 on Sirius. I liked that one and also Volare and Good Golly Miss Molly. Just bought them. Any other recommendations? I'd like more of this type music. So cheery.

On the other hand, I reached 100 followers on tumblr! Exciting!

I have school tomorrow which is no fun. Also JV tryouts. I feel like I've been in school a month not two weeks. Three day weekend next weekend though! Wish me luck this week.

Sundays are Lazy Days

I'm sorry for the lack of posting. I really. I would like to put quality over quantity so I'm just posting a quick update. I've had no inspiration this week. My first week of school dragged on, I feel like it's been a month not a week. My classes seem difficult but good. I'm glad I'm taking two art classes instead of doubling up on classes. Anyways, hopefully I'll have a real post up soon. Right now I'm exhausted! Good night!

School, Uniforms & Driving

Sorry for the lack of posting. I've been busy with school and the Tejeros last few days. Frankly, I'm usually way to exhausted to post and then my internet has been freaking out.

Oh school, what am I to do. Hard classes, but I don't feel like I'm not taking enough. Uninspiring uniforms. Annoying same people. What to do, what to do. I have tryouts for the tennis team tomorrow. Scary, that's all I can say.

Anyways, an exciting thing happened today. I drove to school for the first time! Anyways, the reason I bring it up because I'm looking to you guys to help me build a playlist. While driving in my truck (you can see it in the background of the last photos I posted), it doesn't feel right listening to Animal Collective or the Shins or even this one Yeah Yeah Yeahs album I'm really into right now. I put some White Stripes on and that actually feel right. So readers, could suggest to me what I should listen to?

Anyways I will show you my outfit today. My lovely, boring uniform.

Maybe you would like to know where I got this stuff from? Well, my large sized polo is from aeropostale (no more mediums!), my great-fitting pants are DIckies brand from TJ Maxx (!), I'm wearing converse and my mom's belt. Oh lovely, lovely uniforms.

Oh and doesn't my hair look fantastic! My straightener has broken (I believe in Spain) so great hair days for me!

I not only have one outfit to show you, I have two! I wore my high waisted shorts today which I love! Today I went to the doctor's and then did more uniform shopping, bleh. What a waste of a good outfit. Haha. And this is my last weekend of summer too!

Tonight we went to a jazz club. It was so good. The food was good but expensive! The music was fantastic. I'm going to have to listen to more jazz now. We've decided to go once a month. I just kept thinking, this is a great place for a first date. I really enjoyed the music.

Surprises

So I woke up this morning to my mother yelling "We have to go to the airport! He's been waiting there for hours! I'm so mad at them!" Apparently, the company we were getting our exchange student from neglected to tell us that he was coming this morning. All of this has happened very fast. I just heard we were thinking about getting one a month ago. Anyways, he's here, he's very nice, and he wants to play football (the American kind! Shock!)

The rest of the day was very depressing. I went shopping for uniforms. I seriously didn't buy anything I would have ever bought on my own. I shopped at Aeropostale and Old Navy. Ack. Everything is so boring. And I only bought two pairs of pants and a skirt. Whoops. Ugh I was hoping to find something semi-good looking. The only good thing of the trip was that I found vintage Levi's. High waisted shorts just the right wash and look. Finally!

Also I woke up to find myself a bit injured. The tendon going from my ankle and up is very, very tight. If I walk the wrong way, it hurts very badly. This made the trip even worse. Anyways I'm exhausted, so I'm going to bed.

Sorry for the lack of posts. Hopefully you haven't forgotten about me. In Madrid I didn't have computer access, so I couldn't post then. And once I got home (Saturday) I've just been busy with the kids, lazy, and trying to read my summer reading.

Anyways while in Madrid, we mostly hung out around the house with the kids then went to the pool in the afternoon. It was very relaxing. We saw Knight & Day, which I need to see in English because I have no idea what was going on. I also got to go shopping! I'm thinking about doing a post with pictures of all the clothes I got this summer. Let me know if you think this would interesting.

So my sister was in town this weekend. Her birthday was yesterday and we had a party for her on Sunday. Yesterday however, she got a nasty jellyfish sting. Check it out.
