New York, New York

These only describe a few moments of my wonderful time in New York. It was too cold, too rushed and I felt a bit too touristy/geeky to take as many pictures as I would have liked. We spent the first white out night thanking New York for allowing us to land and land safely by eating a fabulous dinner at the hotel's restaurant. (Mmmm... fontina cheese ravioli with white truffle sauce. My favorite meal of the trip!) We stayed in SoHo, which I enjoyed immensely. The next day, the snow was piled high and we were two of the few who dared to venture out into the snow filled city. Our day was spent in shops which were, at first, very empty, which was great for us! We hit all of my favorites: H&M, Zara, and Topshop. And also others for the mother. That night we went to see the play Avenue Q. Very funny, a bit awkward to see with a parent. Tuesday was spent at the museum and walking around the crowded Midtown. I prefer SoHo. All the nice shops, but also some small boutiques and cafes, more quirky, less crowded. That night we went to the most amazing show, Fuerza Bruta. It was more of an experience. I could describe it to you but it would be a whole post in itself. I will leave you with a few images: a floating pool suspended above, girls chasing each other while suspended as the music pounds away, a (quite handsome) man on a treadmill running through walls. I really recommend it to everyone who can get the chance to see it. It's quite amazing. Wednesday was a bit quieter. A little bit of shopping, a little exploring, a little relaxing. We saw part the NYU campus. Really beautiful. Safe to say that I can picture myself living in New York at some point in my life and I hope to do so.

And now... my New Year's Resolutions per someone's request:

[1] Less uptight, more spontaneous.
[2] A little less laziness, a little more motivation.
[3] Superb grades so I have all the options for college which is two short years away.
[4] Take more pictures!
[5] Enjoy life, go with the flow. (Goes with number 1)
[6] Stay away from chocolate and candy. (I'm pretty healthy, but I have a terrible sweet tooth.)

Hope everyone is enjoying their first days of 2011.
